The Junior High School program consists of two parts: a CORE program which is common to all students at each grade level (Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Physical Education/Health), and a COMPLEMENTARY course program (Options). The student selects which complementary courses appeal to their individual interests. This gives the student the opportunity to work at something which is of special interest to them.
Both the Core Program and the Complementary Course Program operate continuously throughout the school year from September to June. Core classes are held in the morning and option classes are held in the afternoons. Please note: course changes are very difficult to accommodate once the year begins.
The courses listed over-the-page are dependent upon numbers of students requesting the courses. If there are not enough students requesting a particular course, it might not run.
The options listed are examples of classes we have offered in previous years. All options are subject to change. If students require assistance in completing their registration form, or in the selection of courses, they are requested to speak to their homeroom teacher or to the School Administration. Parents are invited to visit the school or telephone if they wish to discuss any aspects of the program.
